Geothermal Technology

A powerful source of energy, right under your feet.

The land your home or commercial building was built upon contains a vast reservoir of thermal energy, typically 10 times the amount of energy required over an entire heating season. An unlimited source of power, geothermal energy—literally “heat from the earth”—can provide up to 100% of a building’s total heating and cooling needs.

Green Power Energy can help you generate safe, reliable, low-cost energy from your own backyard by installing a ground source heat pump. Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are electrically powered systems that harvest the stored energy of the greatest solar collector in existence: the earth. Geothermal systems use the earth’s relatively constant temperature to provide heating, cooling, and hot water for homes and commercial buildings. Ground source heat pumps can be categorized as having closed or open loops, and those loops can be installed in three ways: horizontally, vertically, or in a pond or lake. By assessing the available land area as well as the soil conditions at the installation site, we can determine the most appropriate and economical system for your property.
