Solar Panels are the key to a solar system's generation of electricity. Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight directly into electric current.
A solar panel is a group of photovoltaic cells connected together electrically in a frame. Photovoltaic cells are most commonly made of the semiconductor silicon. When photons from the sun strike these cells, the absorbed light is transferred to the silicon and knocks electrons loose, allowing them to flow freely. Silver is soldered across photovoltaic cells and conducts the flow of these electrons to one location on the solar module. A junction box located on the back of a solar module has the appropriate wiring necessary to take the Direct Current (DC) electricity from the module to your inverter.
A solar system is only as reliable as its components. Each solar system is customized to reach maximum efficiency for each application. Our systems not only employ the best components and warranties on the market, but all ancillary components (all the way down to bolts and screws) are stainless or aluminum to produce lasting results.
